19 companies in Italian delegation.
The Italian packaging industry is ready to take the spotlight at Pack Expo Las Vegas from Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 September, as more than 40 companies – including leading brands from Italy’s Packaging Valley – assemble in Nevada’s most populous city.
The Las Vegas show is the industry’s most important exhibition in 2023, a must-attend event for all companies that have strong business links with the United States.
In 2022, the North American market accounted for 15% of the Italian packaging machinery manufacturers’ export turnover, a 5% increase over the previous year. Sales revenue totalled €795 million.
The importance of the show is demonstrated by the large number of Italian companies taking part in the joint pavilion organised by Ucima in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency ITA. No fewer than 19 companies are taking part: Easysnap Technology, Gasparin Brevetti, Ghezzi e Annoni, Gorreri, Ica, Imeta, Omas Tecnosistemi, Pasta Technologies Group, Pigo, PND Costruzioni Elettromeccaniche, RF Systems, Senzani Brevetti, Technowrapp, Tecnopool, Te.Co., Torq Packaging, Tropical Food Machiner, Uteco Contec and Zanasi.
The Italian delegation is being led by Ucima Chairman Riccardo Cavanna, who will also speak at the event entitled “Sustainability in Packaging & Processing Machinery” to be held on Wednesday 13 September at 11.30 a.m. at the Industry Speaks Stage. The talk will explore global and regional perspectives on the circular economy through case studies, special initiatives, regulations and future developments from the viewpoint of the Italian packaging machine manufacturers.
The Las Vegas show is the 11th stop on the world tour of “We make packaging”, Ucima’s international promotional programme aimed at raising global awareness of the excellence and leadership of the Italian packaging technology sector. The following week (19-21 September), a delegation of Italian companies will participate in Agro Pack Iraq in Erbil, where they will have the opportunity to meet the top buyers in this developing country. The event will be held in conjunction with Iraq Plast.
